SHOREFIELD SECOND OPINIONS

We offer second opinions in all aspects of veterinary conditions that have been ongoing with another vet practice.

What is a second opinion?
A second opinion is another veterinary professional giving an opinion on an ongoing case that you feel perhaps needs another pair of eyes or you are not happy with the current advise and feel you would like someone else's view on it.
What types of conditions can be seen as a second opinion?

Any ongoing condition that has been seen by your vet practice, including but not limited to:

  • Lameness cases
  • Sarcoids
  • Behaviour issues
  • Ulcers
  • Skin lumps and bumps
  • Coughs and respiratory issues

Do I have to tell my vets you are coming for a second opinion?
Yes you will have to let them know as we will need to see the full clinical history and any notes on the ongoing case, we will then send all our notes and findings back after the appointment.
