ROUTINE HEALTHCARE
Shorefield Equine provides a complete first opinion service including vaccinations, health checks, worming plans and castration.
X-RAY IMAGING
The practice has a completely mobile digital x-ray unit allowing instant x-rays to be taken horse-side.
SHOCKWAVE THERAPY
Shockwave is used for the treatment of musculo-skeletal soft tissue pain and associated disorders in horses.
STANDING SURGERY
The practice offers a standing surgical service including advanced dental procedures, sinus surgery, mass removals, back surgery and standing musculo-skeletal surgery.
ULTRASONOGRAPHY
The practice runs three ultrasound scanners enabling reproduction/fertility scanning as well as musculo-skeletal and abdominal imaging.
ENDOSCOPY
The practice runs a 1.7m Olympus endoscope allowing visualisation of all aspects of the respiratory tree at rest.
DENTAL CARE
The practice works closely alongside a local equine dentist, Emilia Barry. We offer all aspects of routine work supported by a range of manual and motorised dental equipment. We also provide advanced dental treatments including x-rays, extractions and surgery.
PRE-PURCHASE EXAMS (VETTINGS)
We provide both complete (5 stage) and limited (2 stage) pre-purchase examinations.

LEE PRITCHARD BVSc CertAVP PGCertVPS MRCVS
Since graduating from the University of Bristol, Lee has been working in East Cornwall providing equine veterinary services to competition horses across a variety of disciplines.
In December 2014 he attained an RCVS Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice with a soft tissue surgery bias. This was followed in July 2015 by a post-graduate certificate in veterinary professional studies with an internal medicine bias from the University of Liverpool.
DEBBIE SANT RVN
Debbie joined the practice in May 2018 from a local veterinary practice.
Debbie has extensive experience in the veterinary industry; both administrative and as a registered veterinary nurse. Outside of work she enjoys riding and photography.
